Just a Few of the Highlights:

Turbo

A standalone application used by the Principal Investigator to submit protocol information to the GCRC for review by the Advisory Committee. Turbo Protocol simplifies the application process, insures completeness, consistent style, format, and content. The program includes required fields and validity checks to improve application integrity.

Turbo Protocol Administration Program (TPAP)

  • Loads protocols and revisions into the GCRC database.
  • Updates and/or checks the status of protocols, i.e., approved, revised, completed, closed.
  • Exports an existing TURBO protocol to a disk for PI.
  • Creates a Rounds List report of patients scheduled during the prior week.
  • Creates a list of Inpatients or Outpatients for any given time frame.
  • Accesses the Patient Browser (PATBROWS) from inside TPAP
  • Creates various reports: List of PIs, Tests Performed, Protocols by Category (A, B, D, S), Protocol History, Patient Status, AXIS Codes, and more...

Protocol Browser

  • Allows users a read-only view of protocols

User Profile (USERPRO)

  • Sets up database security

Creates usernames and passwords

Some of the Many Benefits:

For the PI:

By using Turbo to submit protocol information to the GCRC, the investigator is guided through all the relevant and required sections of a protocol. No longer will the investigator unknowingly submit incomplete information, worry about gathering demographics, support information, test costs, axis codes, and all the other requirements which can delay the creation and submission process. Revisions are tracked automatically and renewals are simple. Switch Turbo to Renewal Mode, add your ancillary costs and print. Click to view a sample protocol.

For the GCRC:

Once investigators begin submitting Protocols via Turbo the benefits to your center are enormous. Your GAC and staff will appreciate the consistent style, format, and content of submitted protocols. Once approved, the protocol is submitted into TPAP where with a click of a button and some consistency checks the protocols information will be captured into TPAP's centralized database. The administrative staff can monitor maintain and report on all their protocols and revisions. TPAP's central status screen is a comprehensive at a glance view of your protocol, including patient information, protocol summary information, and status processes. The comprehensive capture and maintenance for Protocol data make the end of year reporting process easier and clearer. TPAP also includes a linkage to CAMP making it simple to export your Turbo Data. Extensive reporting and logging features streamline reporting on all aspects of your protocol. All changes are recorded by date time and user id. Using Protocol Browser you can provide the rest of your staff read-only access to all of your centers protocols.

Coming soon:

Suite I is being expanded to include our Turbo Protocol Online Center. At the Online Center, registered users can log onto a secure site that will include just some of the following features:

  • Turbo Users will be able to get updated information on investigator information, support data, tests, bio etc.
  • Administrators can post protocol status and protocols in Acrobat format.
  • Online Searchable database of Protocol Lay summaries.
  • Sites can be customized so that other hospital application forms such as IRB forms will send data to Turbo eliminating duplicate information.
